theological virtues
theological virtues the three virtues of faith, hope, and charity, as enumerated in 1 Corinthians 13:13. They were traditionally distinguished from the cardinal virtues of Plato and classical philosophers (see cardinal2), and were particularly studied by St Thomas Aquinas and the schoolmen.
