Deira

Deira (dē´Ĭrə), old English kingdom between the Humber and the Tyne rivers. In the late 6th cent. it was united with Bernicia, to the north, to form Northumbria.

Deira

Deira a northern Anglo-Saxon kingdom in Britain which at the end of the 7th century ad united with Bernicia to form Northumbria.
