Angles
Angles Germanic tribe from a district of Schleswig-Holstein now called Angeln. In the 5th century they invaded England with neighbouring tribes, Jutes, Saxons, and others. They settled mainly in Northumbria and East Anglia. The name England (Angle-land) derives from them.
