Ross Dependency
Ross Dependency Region of Antarctica that includes Ross Island, the coast along the Ross Sea and nearby islands. It has been under the jurisdiction of New Zealand since 1923. Area: land mass, c.415,000sq km (160,000sq mi); ice shelf, c.450,000sq km (174,000sq mi).
