North-West Province
North-West Province Province in nw South Africa; the capital is Mmabatho. North-West Province was created from the sw part of the former province of Transvaal and the ne part of former Cape Province. Area: 116,190sq km (44,489sq mi). Pop. (2000 est.) 3,604,472.
