Full name, Robert Milton Young; born November 22, 1924, in New York, NY; father, the founder of Du Art Film Laboratories; children: Andrew (a documentary filmmaker). Education: Attended Harvard University.

Career: Director, producer, writer, and cinematographer. Military service: Served during World War II.
