Full name, Martin John Kemp; born October 10, 1961, in Islington, London, England; son of Frank (a printer) and Eileen Kemp; brother of Gary Kemp (an actor, musician, and songwriter); married Shirlie Holliman (a singer), November 14, 1988; children: Harley Moon (daughter), Roman (son). Education: Studied acting at the Anna Scher Theatre, London.

Career: Actor and musician. Spandau Ballet (musical group previously known as the Makers and as Gentry), founder, 1981, coleader, musician, and songwriter, 1981–90; record producer for other artists; affiliated with the Axiom design movement. Appeared in commercials.
