Edward L. Horne, Jr. Scholarships (All/Scholarship)

Purpose: To promote education in the aviation industry. Focus: Aviation. Qualif.: Applicant must be an OBAP member pursuing a career in the aviation industry. Criteria: Selection is based on the application materials.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants must provide an evidence of participation in at least one OBAP event; a copy of Private Pilot's license; a resume with photo; two letters of recommendations (one must be from an OBAP member); a copy of medical permit; and an essay (maximum of 1000 words) about the applicant's greatest challenge in life. Deadline: June 15.

OBAP Fellowships - Airline Transport (ATP) (Professional Development/Fellowship)

Purpose: To promote education and training in the aviation industry. Focus: Aviation. Qualif.: Applicant must be an OBAP member in good standing; can read, write and speak English fluently; must be a U.S. citizen, or has established authorization to work in the U.S; must have participated in any of the ACE Camp or Pilots-in Schools events; must have participated in any event that supports the ideals and initiatives of OBAP. Criteria: Fellowship is awarded on a first come, first served basis.

Funds Avail.: Up to $1,500. To Apply: Applicant must submit a completed application form together with two letters of recommendation (one must be from an OBAP member) and a 2-page essay. Applicants may also apply online.

OBAP General Scholarships (All/Scholarship)

Purpose: To promote education in the aviation industry. Focus: Aviation. Qualif.: Applicant must be an OBAP member pursuing a career in the aviation industry. Criteria: Selection is based on the application materials.

To Apply: Applicants must provide an evidence of participation in at least one OBAP event; a copy of Private Pilot's license; a resume; two letters of recommendations (one must be from an OBAP member); a copy of medical permit; a 2-page autobiography with recent photo; and an essay on, “What is/has been your greatest life challenge, and how has it enriched you or someone else's life?” Deadline: June 15.
