MGFA Student Fellowships (Undergraduate/Fellowship)

Purpose: To provide financial support to current medical students or graduate students interested in the scientific basis of myasthenia gravis or related neuromuscular conditions, serving both to further scientific inquiries into the nature of these disorders and to encourage more research. Focus: Myasthenia Gravis. Qualif.: Applicants must be medical or graduate students. Criteria: Applicants will be evaluated based on criteria designed by the Fellowship Committee.

Funds Avail.: $5,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit one hardcopy or one PDF file of the letter of interest, summary of the research and its significance to myasthenia gravis or related neuromuscular conditions, proposed budget, curriculum vitae of applicant and sponsoring preceptor and letter of recommendation from preceptor that indicates acceptance of the candidate and outlines the proposed work plan for the research study. Deadline: March 15.

Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America Nursing Fellowships (Undergraduate/Fellowship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to nurses or nursing students interested in studying problems encountered by patients with myasthenia gravis or related neuromuscular conditions. Focus: Myasthenia gravis. Qualif.: Ap-

plicants must be professional nurses or nursing students. Criteria: Applicants will be evaluated based on criteria designed by the Fellowship Committee.

Funds Avail.: $5,000. To Apply: Applicant must submit four copies of a cover letter and the completed application form to the Chief Executive of the MGFA national office. Deadline: October 15.

Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America Post-Doctoral Fellowships (Postdoctorate/Fellowship)

Purpose: To attract physicians, PhD scientists and allied health professionals into conducting research into myasthenia gravis or related conditions. Focus: Myasthenia Gravis. Qualif.: Applicant must be a permanent resident of the United States or Canada who has been accepted to work in the laboratory of an established investigator at an institution in the United States, Canada or abroad deemed appropriate by the Medical/Scientific Advisory Board of the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, Inc.; or a foreign national who has been accepted to work in the laboratory of an established investigator at an institution in the United States or Canada deemed appropriate by the Medical/Scientific Advisory Board of the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, Inc. Criteria: Applicants will be evaluated by The Fellowship Committee based on some criteria.

Funds Avail.: $50,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit nine copies of the proposal and additional information to Post-Doctoral Committee. Deadline: October 1.
