Morris K. Udall Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship assistance for qualified individuals. Focus: Environmental technology; Native American studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be a student who has demonstrated commitment to a career related to the environment; or must be a Native American or Alaska Native student who has demonstrated commitment to a career related to tribal public policy or Native health care; must be a sophomore or junior level college student; must have a college GPA of at least 3.0 or the equivalent; and must be a U.S citizen, U.S national, or U.S permanent resident. Criteria: Recipients will be selected based on the following criteria: (1) demonstrated commitment to environmental or natural resources, tribal public policy, or Native American health care; (2) course of study and proposed career; (3) leadership, character, desire to make a difference, and general wellroundedness.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants must complete and sign Udall Scholarship Application and submit along with an 800-word essay (signed and dated), a current official college transcript and transcripts for other colleges attended, and three letters of recommendation. Deadline: March 4.
