International Harvester Collectors Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide a worldwide collector’s network for the preservation of history, products, literature and memorabilia of the International Harvester Company. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: All applicants must be members, children of members, or grandchildren of members of the International Harvester Collectors Inc., Club; must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited college, university, junior college, trade, or technical school, or other similar post-high school educational institution; must be graduating high school seniors on the year of the application. Criteria: Award is given based on a review of properly submitted essays done by the Board of Directors of the International Harvester Collectors Inc., Club.

Funds Avail.: $1,000-first place; $750-second place. Number Awarded: 2. To Apply: Applicants are required to submit an essay of not less than 1,000 not more than 2,000 words discussing the historical significance of any aspect of the International Harvester Company. The topic shall be “The evolution of the Farmall”; Each applicant shall include separately information regarding the educational institution. This information shall include the complete mailing address and telephone number of that educational institution’s financial aid office; an annotated bibliography that lists the sources of information for the essay; a cover letter stating the institution the applicant will be attending, how the scholarship will be used in achieving the student’s goals, and the process by which the applicant acquired the information for the essay.
