ISPE/M.E. Amstutz Memorial Award (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To provide financial assistance for the education of students for the advancement and betterment of human welfare and the engineering profession. Focus: Engineering. Qualif.: Applicants must be enrolled in an ABETac-credited engineering program, be at least a junior maintaining a B average or better, and demonstrate financial need. Criteria: Recipients are judged based on financial need, extracurricular activities, interest in engineering and the applicants’ essays.
Funds Avail.: $1,500. To Apply: Applicants must submit official transcripts of all college and university work; two letters of reference from the department chair or department faculty member; from past employer or other character reference; and a typewritten essay in 200 words or less discussing why they want to become a professional engineer. Deadline: January 31.
ISPE Advantage Award/Foundation Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To provide financial assistance for the education of students who are sons or daughters of ISPE members; for the advancement and betterment of human welfare and the engineering profession. Focus: Engineering. Qualif.: Applicants must be attending an Illinois university; enrolled in an engineering program accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET); have at least junior standing; a B average or better in courses which are credited toward the engineering degree. Criteria: Recipients are judged based on financial need, extracurricular activities, interest in engineering and the applicants’ essays.
