Therese and David Bohbot Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To award annually the needy university students who require an additional assistance for living expenses. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be currently enrolled in a university. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants must submit a letter explaining goals/reasons for request; proof of Quebec residency; transcript of records; acceptance letter to University; two letters of reference and Social Insurance Number. Deadline: May 30.

Marlene Brand Memorial Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To improve the quality and diversity of Hillel Montreal. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be students living and studying in Montreal. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need, academic excellence and involvement in the Montreal Jewish community.

Funds Avail.: $2,500. To Apply: Applicants must submit a letter stating the objectives and reasons for request, history

of community involvement, proof of Quebec residency, letter of University acceptance, transcript of grades, two letters of recommendation from teachers or employers, Social Insurance number and Montreal address and telephone number. Deadline: May 30.

Bernic and Gordon Brown Scholarship (All/Scholarship)

Purpose: To improve the quality and diversity of Hillel Montreal. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be permanent residents of Montreal who have demonstrated academic excellence and community involvement, who have not been to Israel; must have a plan to return to Montreal to participate in Jewish community. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on academic performance and financial need.

Funds Avail.: $5,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form; brief letter outlining the reasons for wishing to attend university in Israel and career goals; record of involvement in Jewish community; letter of acceptance from an Israeli university; transcript of grades; a minimum of two letters of recommendation from professors and Social Insurance Number.

Purpose: To improve the quality and diversity of Hillel Montreal. Focus: Fashion design. Qualif.: Applicants must be Jewish students pursuing a career in fashion. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need and academic merit.
