Description:
Independent, comprehensive, coed, affiliated with Church of the Brethren. Awards associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees. Founded 1899. Setting: 185-acre small town campus with easy access to Baltimore and Philadelphia. Endowment: $39.7 million. Research spending 2003-04: $72,381. Educational spending 2003-04: $8719 per student. Population 18,000. Located in Lancaster County, Elizabethtown enjoys the advantages of the neighboring communities' facilities. This suburb has a library, several churches, and major fraternal and civic organizations within the immediate locale. Some part-time employment is available.
