Description:

State-supported, 4-year, coed. Part of University System of Georgia. Awards associate and bachelor's degrees. Founded 1969. Setting: 163-acre suburban campus with easy access to Atlanta. Total enrollment: 5,954. Student-undergrad faculty ratio is 20:1. Full-time: 3,026 students, 68% women, 32% men. Part-time: 2,928 students, 72% women, 28% men. Students come from 45 states and territories, 34 other countries, 5% from out-of-state, 0.4% Native American, 2% Hispanic, 49% black, 5% Asian American or Pacific Islander, 45% 25 or older, 10% transferred in. Retention: 61% of full-time freshmen returned the following year. Core. Calendar: semesters.
