Copnick/Hilliard Scholarships (Professional Development/Scholarship)
Purpose: To assist and support students with permanent severe mobility impairment such as spinal cord injury to continue their post-secondary education. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must have a spinal cord injury or other physical disability; must be volunteers or staff members of the Canadian Paraplegic Association; must be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants; must demonstrate outstanding initiative and scholastic achievement in a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada. Criteria: Recipients will be selected based on academic standing, merit and financial needs.
Funds Avail.: $500. To Apply: Applicants must submit a letter of reference and transcripts of the last two years of study. Application and attachments must be sent to: 1101 Prince of Wales Dr., Ste. 230, Ottawa, ON K2C 3W7. Deadline: August 31. Contact: Freddy Martinez.

Qualif.: Applicants must have been diagnosed with a spinal cord injury or other physical disability; must be volunteers or staff members of the Canadian Paraplegic Association; must be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants; must be attending, or will be attending, a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada. Criteria: Recipients will be selected based on academic standing, merit and financial needs.
