Schoenheimer, Rudolph (1898–1941) German‐born biochemist; pioneered the use of heavy isotopes in studying metabolism, and discovered the continual turnover of body protein – dynamic equilibrium. The Dynamic State of the Body Constituents was published posthumously, 1942.
