Paprika
Paprika ★★½ 2006 (R)
“Tokyo Godfathers” creator Satoshi Kon is back with the warped tale of a company that has created a machine that allows therapists to enter their patient's dreams. Head researcher Dr. Chiba—known to her patients as Paprika—enlists the help of a police detective because a madman has stolen a prototype and is mucking about with the minds of her colleagues. The animation is mind-blowing, but the surreal and disturbing nature of the dream sequences will make it too spicy for some. 90m/C DVD . JPD: Seishi Minakimi; W: Seishi Minakimi, Seishi Minakimi; C: Michiya Kato; M: Susumu Hirasawa; V: Akio Ohtsuka, Toru Furuya, Satoshi Kon.
