Berkel, Ben van (1957– ). Dutch architect. His Erasmus Bridge, Rotterdam (1990–6— influenced by the work of Calatrava), won him acclaim. The Karbouw Office and Workshop, Amersfoort, The Netherlands (1990–2), was also given publicity.
