National Deviance Conference (NDC) The name given to a group of radical and critical criminologists (see CRIMINOLOGY, CRITICAL) and deviance theorists in the United Kingdom, who met regularly at York University, between 1967 and 1975. They were strongly identified with labelling theory. Typical of the publications associated with the group are Stanley Cohen ( ed.) , Images of Deviance (1971)
