Buller, John

Buller, John (b London, 1927). Eng. composer. Worked as architectural surveyor until 1959. Came to notice in 1970s with series of works based on James Joyce's Finnegans Wake, incl. 2 Night Pieces for sop., fl., cl., pf., vc. (1971) and Finnegan's Floras for, ch., perc., pf. (1972). Also opera Bakxai (1991–2) and works for various instr. ens.
