Lindbergh law
Lindbergh law in the US, a law making kidnapping a federal offence if the victim is taken across a state line or if ransom demands are sent by post. The law was passed by Congress in response to the kidnapping and death of the infant son of the American aviator Charles Lindbergh (1902–74).
