Darth Vader

Darth Vader in the Star Wars trilogy, the former Jedi who has betrayed his allegiance to serve the Empire, and who is the father of Luke Skywalker; he is characterized by his ruthless aggression, and by the black cloak, armour, and concealing vizor in which he is always clothed. Although he is initially the villain of the trilogy, he is ultimately redeemed, turning his destructive powers on the Emperor to save his son.
