Afro-Tethyan mammal region

Afro-Tethyan mammal region A zoogeographic region which appears to reflect mammal distributions more satisfactorily than the traditional zoogeographic regions. It includes the Ethiopian and Oriental faunal regions, as well as the Mediterranean subregion.
