Heidenreich family. Important German architects. Erhard Heidenreich (d. 1524) worked at Regensburg Cathedral under
Roriczer, whom he succeeded as architect in 1514 after the latter's execution. He probably designed the six windows in the
cloister which have early
Renaissance details. He worked on the tower of the Church of St Martin at Amberg, and on the Church of Unsere Liebe Frau (Our Lady), Ingolstadt (1509–24—where he and his son Ulrich (
fl. 1520s) were responsible for the net-
vaults, one of the great glories of Late
Gothic German architecture).
