CGM Abbrev. for computer graphics metafile – the ISO 8632 standard, Metafile for the Storage and Transfer of Picture Description Information. A standardized file format for transmission and storage of two-dimensional pictures. It is widely used in the computer industry for exchanging information between different systems and for transmitting graphical information to a remote printer.
