plethysmography
plethysmography (pleth-iz-mog-răfi) n. the process of recording the changes in the volume of a limb caused by alterations in blood pressure. The limb is inserted into a fluid-filled watertight casing (oncometer) and the pressure variations in the fluid are recorded.
