SIDELIGHTS: Brenda K. Jernigan told CA: "The reason I write is to take people away from their everyday world and hopefully make them smile. Julie Garwood and Judith MacNaught have been a big influence on my writing. My writing process is by the seat of my pants, which I do not recommend. I do not plot or write a very detailed synopsis, but it is the only way I can write. And I do pray a lot that the book will come to me, and it always does.
"I would like everyone to know that a percentage of all my books that are sold is donated to Hospice in memory of my mother, so they can help those who cannot help themselves."
