Trieste 1850 and later staged, because of censorship problems, under title Guglielmo Wellingrode. Revived at Parma 1968; London (Collegiate Th.) 1973, CG 1993; Boston 1978, NY Met 1993. Rev. as Aroldo, 1856–7, with new lib. by Piave and newly composed 4th act. Prod. Rimini 1857, NY 1863.
