Quinault, Jean-Baptiste Maurice
Quinault, Jean-Baptiste Maurice (b Verdun, 1687; d Gien, 1745). Fr. composer, actor, and singer. Acted and sang at the Théâtre Français 1912–28, Comédie-Française until 1734. Wrote ballets, divertissements, and intermèdes for Fr. theatre 1714–32, incl. incid. music for Molière's Le bourgeois gentilhomme (1716).
