Padilla y Ramos, Mariano, Spanish baritone,father of Lola Artôt de Padilla; b. Murcia, 1842; d. Auteuil, near Paris, Nov. 23, 1906. He studied with Mabellini and Ronconi in Florence, making his debut in Messina. He sang in opera with great success in Italy, Austria, Germany, and Russia. In 1869 he married Désirée Artôt.
