Mehlig, Anna
Mehlig, Anna, German pianist; b. Stuttgart, July 11, 1845; d. Berlin, July 26, 1928. She was a student of Lebert in Stuttgart and of Liszt in Weimar. On April 30, 1866, she made her London debut. From 1869 to 1875 she successfully presented the first American performances of many works in the U.S., and then returned to England. After a sojourn in Antwerp, she settled in Berlin in 1914.
