Kanner-Rosenthal, Hedwig

Kanner-Rosenthal, Hedwig, Hungarian-American pianist and pedagogue; b. Budapest, June 3, 1882; d. Asheville, N.C., Sept. 5, 1959. She studied with Leschetizky and Moriz Rosenthal , whom she married and also appeared with him in duo recitals. She settled in N.Y. as a teacher (1939), numbering among her students Charles Rosen and Robert Goldsand.
