Herman, Vasile
Herman, Vasile, Romanian composer; b. Satu-Mare, June 10, 1929. He studied piano in his hometown, and composition with Demian, Todu-ä, and Comes at the Cluj Cons. (1949–57), where he subsequently was appointed to its staff. His music is cautiously modernistic, with occasional overflow into aleatorie indeterminacy.
