Henriot-Schweitzer, Nicole

Henriot-Schweitzer, Nicole, French pianist; b. Paris, Nov. 25, 1925. She was a student at the Paris Cons, of Marguerite Long, taking the premier prix when she was 14. Following the close of World War II, she began to tour extensively; in 1948 she made her first visit to the U.S. In later years, she was active as a teacher and served as a prof, at the Liège Cons. (1970–73). Her interpretations of the French repertory were highly regarded.
