Goyescas (Los majos enamorados) (Sp. ‘Goya-like works’, or ‘Youth in Love’).
1. 2 sets of pf. pieces, 7 in all, by Granados, inspired by paintings of Goya, comp. 1911, f.p. 1914. Titles are 1. Los requiebros (Loving words), 2. Coloquio en la reja (A conversation through the grating), 3. El fandango del candil (Kitchen fandango), 4. Quejas o la maja y el ruisenor (Lament, or The Maja and the Nightingale), 5. El amor y la muerte (Love and death), 6. Epilogo: la serenada del espectro (Epilogue: The ghost's serenade), 7. El pelele (The worthless man).
