Gomezanda, Antonio
Gomezanda, Antonio, Mexican pianist and composer; b. Lagos, Jalisco, Sept. 3, 1894; d. Mexico City, March 26, 1961. He studied composition in Berlin. Returning to Mexico, he taught piano at the National Cons. (1921-29) and at the Univ. of Mexico (1929-32). Among his works was an “Aztec ballet,” Xiuhtzitzquilo (Berlin, Feb. 19, 1928).
