Eichhorn, Kurt (Peter)
Eichhorn, Kurt (Peter), German conductor; b. Munich, Aug. 4, 1908; d. Murnau am Staffelsee, June 29, 1994. He studied with Hermann Zilcher. He made his professional debut at the Bielefeld Opera in 1932. In 1941 he conducted at the Dresden State Opera. After World War II, he returned to Munich as a conductor at the Gartnerplatz Theater; also conducted at the Bavarian State Opera. From 1967 to 1975 he served as chief conductor of the Munich Radio Orch.
