De Fesch, William (b Alkmaar, 1687; d London, ?1757). Flemish composer, organist, cellist, and violinist. Choirmaster, Antwerp Cath., 1725–31. Settled in London 1733. First vn. in Handel's orch. 1746; dir. of orch. at Marylebone Gardens 1748–9. Wrote oratorios, masses, concs., and songs.
