Bros y Bertomeu, Juan (Joaquín Pedro Domingo)
Bros y Bertomeu, Juan (Joaquín Pedro Domingo) Spanish composer; b. Tortosa (baptized), May 12, 1776; d. Oviedo, March 12, 1852. He studied with Queralt in Barcelona, and served as asst. maestro de capilla there at the church of S. Maria del Mar and as organist of the chapel of S. Severo. From 1806 to 1823 he was maestro de capilla at the Cathedral of Leon; in 1824 was named maestro de capilla at the Cathedral of Oviedo. He wrote mostly church music
