Graffiti Bridge ★½ 1990 (PG-13)

Prince preaches love instead of sex and the result is boring. The Lavender One is a Minneapolis nightclub owner who battles with Day over the love of a beautiful woman. Chauvinistic attitudes toward women abound, but the females in the film don't seem to mind. Which must mean they were “acting.” Visually interesting, although not as experimental as “Purple Rain.” Music made Top Ten. 90m/C VHS, DVD . Prince, Morris Day, Jerome Benton, Jill Jones, Mavis Staples, George Clinton, Ingrid Chavez; D: Prince; W: Prince; C: Bill Butler.
