As a followup to the Hope/Goddard 1939 comedy thriller “The Cat and the Canary,” this spooky comedy was even better. Lots of laughs and real chills as Hope and Goddard investigate a haunted mansion that she's inherited in Cuba. Effective horror scenes are expertly handled by director Marshall.
