Fatal Beauty
Fatal Beauty ★½ 1987 (R)
A female undercover cop in Los Angeles tracks down a drug dealer selling cocaine (from which the title is taken). Elliott is the mob bodyguard who helps her out. Violent and sensational, the film tries to capitalize on the success of “Beverly Hills Cop” and fails miserably. Goldberg is wasted in this effort and the picture tiptoes around the interracial romance aspects that are implied. 104m/C VHS, DVD . Whoopi Goldberg, Sam Elliott, Ruben Blades, Harris Yulin, Richard “Cheech” Marin, Brad Dourif; D: Tom Holland; W: Hilary Henkin, Dean Riesner; C: David M. Walsh; M: Harold Faltermeyer.
