Doomsday 2008
Doomsday ★★ 2008 (R)
In 2035 the Reaper Virus has left Scotland a barren wasteland, quarantined from the rest of the world. But when satellite images reveal that life may still exist, a team of soldiers led by Eden Sinclair (Mitra) return in hopes of curing the survivors, instead discovering an underground civilization of psycho bikers and gutter punks. It's hard to tell if director Marshall has assembled a tribute, spoof, or rip-off of earlier doomsday flicks, because while this one doesn't make a lot of sense, it's still cheesy, over-the-top good fun. 109m/C DVD . US Rhona Mitra, Malcolm McDowell, Bob Hoskins, Adrian Lester, Alexander Siddig, David O'Hara, MyAnna Buring, Craig Conway; D: Neil Marshall; W: Neil Marshall; C: Sam McCurdy; M: Tyler Bates.
