Portland, Nicholas
Portland, Nicholas (fl. 1394–c.1406). English master-mason. He worked at Salisbury Cathedral from 1394, where he stabilized the crossing-tower, and from 1396 to 1405 he was engaged on the rebuilding of St John's Hospital, Winchester, Hants., where he seems to have been responsible for the main block, apart from the chapels.
