Leiopelmatidae
Leiopelmatidae (class Amphibia, order Anura) Family of primitive frogs which have nine biconcave (amphicoelous) vertebrae and free ribs. Their eggs, laid on damp ground, develop into froglets before hatching. There are three species, found in the uplands of New Zealand.
