cyproterone
cyproterone (cyproterone acetate) (sy-proh-ter-ohn) n. a steroid drug that inhibits the effects of male sex hormones (see anti-androgen) and is used to treat hypersexuality disorders and advanced prostate cancer in men. Combined with ethinylestradiol (as Dianette), it is used to treat acne and hirsutism in women. It is administered by mouth. Trade names: Androcur, Cyprostat.
