Starter for Ten
Starter for Ten ★★ ½ 2006 (PG-13)
Title refers to the number of points given for starter questions on popular Brit TV quiz show “University Challenge.” In 1985, working-class Brian (McAvoy) crosses the social barrier when he's accepted at Bristol University and meets posh blonde Alice (Eve) while trying out for the quiz team. Appealingly geeky, Brian is too starry-eyed to realize he's better suited to firebrand Rebecca (Hall) as he tries to reconcile his past with the potential of his future. 96m/C DVD .
