Duchess of Normandy . Name variations: Isabel de Gatinais; sometimes referred to as Alice. Born in 1107; died in 1154 in Fontevraud, Anjou, France; daughter of Fulk V, count of Anjou and king of Jerusalem, and Ermentrude, countess of Maine (d.1126); married William the Atheling, duke of Normandy, in June 1119 (d. 1120).

Matilda of Anjou was born in 1107, the daughter of Fulk V, count of Anjou and king of Jerusalem, and Ermentrude , countess of Maine. She married William the Atheling, duke of Normandy, in June 1119; he died the following year. At the time of her death in 1154, Matilda of Anjou was the abbess of Fontevraud.
