Fausta, Cornelia (b. 88 BCE)
Fausta, Cornelia (b. 88 bce)
Roman noblewoman. Born about 88 bce; daughter of Lucius Cornelius Sulla (consul, 88–80 bce, and Roman dictator, 82–79) and his fourth wife Caecilia Metella; married the praetor C. Memmius (divorced); married Titus Annius Milo (praetor), in 55 bce.
A daughter of the Roman dictator Sulla and his fourth wife Caecilia Metella , Cornelia Fausta married at an early age to praetor C. Memmius. Divorced from Memmius, she then married the praetor T. Annius Milo in 55 bce. Fausta was notorious for her marital infidelity but may not have had an unbiased appraisal. Historian Sallust is said to have been one of her paramours.
